TRADITIONAL CULTURE OF INDONESIA



Traditional culture of Indonesia is traditional habit of Indonesian. It is bequeathed from generations to other generations. There are many kinds of it such as traditional clothes, dances, foods, languages and others. The first traditional culture is the cloth. Indonesia has many beauty traditional clothes. Every province has the different traditional cloth such as Ulos cloth from north Sumatra, Ulee Balang cloth from Aceh, Baju Bodo cloth from south Sulawesi etc. Moreover, in the eyes of the world our country Indonesia is famous with Batik cloth as the greatest traditional cloth of Indonesia. The second traditional culture is the dance. There are many kinds of traditional dance exist in Indonesia country. The dances are very unique and different from other dances for the example Kecak dance from Bali, Topeng dance from Jakarta, and the dance that has been admitted by our neighbor Malaysia as his dance, Reog Ponorogo dance from east Java. The next traditional culture is food. Not all cities have traditional foods but most of them have it for the example Surabi from west Java, Kerak Telor from Jakarta and many others. We have to know, Tempe and Tahu are Indonesian heritages and it can be called as the traditional foods of Indonesia that must be preserved. The last traditional culture is language. Indonesia language is our national language but beside it, there are many traditional languages used by Indonesia society such as Madura language, Osing language, and many others. Therefore, Indonesia country is the rich country with many cultures and we must proud of it.
